A sixth generation Marin and San Francisco native, Barr Haney has been passionate about real estate, architecture, design and landscaping since childhood. Having grown up the son of an interior designer, he has had the benefit of incredible exposure over time to many distinct homes and unique California lifestyles. This is where his deep love of the real estate business comes from.
Barr jump-started his career by working with a commercial real estate firm in San Francisco. The experience gained on the business side of real estate was packed up and brought with him back to his hometown in Marin where he joined Frank Howard Allen Realtors in 2004. In his four years with the agency, Barr earned many awards including Rookie of the Year, the Million Dollar Club Award, the President's Bronze Award of Distinction and numerous Client Service Awards.
Recognizing his passion and success in the business, many local real estate firms played role of suitor. After turning down several different offers, Barr's vision for a dominant and innovative real estate firm was captured only in the essence of Morgan Lane, which he joined in 2008. "It's an honor to work alongside such an elite, tight-knit group of people. Morgan Lane is small comparatively, but the impact, presence and reputation it has in the county made the decision very simple." In June, 2009, Morgan Lane purchased Pacific Union and joined forces to create Pacific Union International, Marin's premier real estate brokerage.
The powerful combination of Barr's knowledge of the business and Pacific Union's unmatched track record and innovative business model leverages his clients' position. Recognizing that every client is unique he is able to be sensitive to their needs while strategically negotiating on behalf of his buyers and sellers. He incorporates his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz into his business in order to best serve and understand his clients' needs. Barr knows how important it is to work with a real estate professional that will be there before, during and after a transaction in order to preserve and protect one's most cherished and valuable asset.
Outside of real estate, Barr enjoys a number of activities including running, skiing, snowboarding, soccer, golf, and most of all, traveling. Having been to over 60 countries, he loves surrounding himself with different cultures, people and of course, architecture. Barr enjoys these activities with his fiancée and sharing their lovely home together right here in Marin County.
